My lazy left boob less than a oz , my right boob be pulling all the weight, I couldn’t imagine someone telling me I need to increase supply on my left just because, when clearly my right side is able to meet my baby girls needs

Mine suggested metformin for milk production even tho I don’t have pcos/pmos or pre-diabetes.. I found this odd

I’d say the same thing, but also questions as well as other TikTok videos give me inspiration. The kinds of questions that mom’s ask today is very different from 20+ years ago when I got started as a lactation consultant there’s a lot more emphasis today on humping and milk storage concerns then there is an actual direct latching.

I wish we had as many lactation consults in the uk as much as what America seems to have they seem so much more clued up than the uk but I supose pumping is a bigger thing over in America

I had one lactation consultant tell me I was a 19mm for flange size. Turns out I’m a 13mm. She also had me take sunflower lecithin for my clogs. She failed to tell me the mg and just how many pills to take. I should have asked the mg but I ended up taking DOUBLE the dose for almost 2 weeks. But it TANKED my supply. I know that is not common but she refused to acknowledge it. 4 days after stopping my supply came back. I asked for help with my supply and was panicking since my baby was having weight gain issues. She just told me to keep taking the lecithin.

When I am trying to get my two month old to latch onto a bottle, this is day four of me doing it consistently… Every time I give it to her, she gags or spits out the milk, which is fine. How do I know she’s OK to take the bottle? Should I try a practice feed? Usually it seems that she’s full so she doesn’t even try to take the half ounce. Thank you 🥰
