That works really well for smaller databases that don’t have complex schemas and it’s really good advice. You also might need to maintain an upgrade chain of changes so a file from v1 can be restored into v901. Database architectures often change or have referential integrity checks as things get more complicated. Most systems have a built in database backup and restore concept. The big lesson is to think about the scenarios you or a customer might encounter and at least planning how you might solve it. If you have the export, an AI system could also help with fixing data issues.
