While the bike may look largely unchanged since its debut in 2002 through its discontinue in 2023, it has received updates along the way. During its run the bike received a more ridged frame, updated shock and linkage, updates to the brakes, updated clutch components, the cylinder got revised port timing, there were updates to the power valves, digital CDI ignition mapping for smoother power delivery, and also expanded exhaust chamber design improvements for flow and exhaust valve efficiency. While Suzuki quit producing the bike in 2023, it still is more than worthy enough for our shootout. expansion chamber update, frame needs to be aluminum, 2 rad shrouds, rear number plate update and front fender update, high comp head, and a diff sprocket design, removable clutch cover, updated Showa forks, preferably what the 150 runs, updated brakes, and overall just make it taller, it’s probably one of the smallest 85s
