You have made a number of assumptions in this post. I am aware of the SEN in our education system as I have had to navigate this. My post was based on what you have said in your video. You stated that you have not had to make adaptions or need specialist equipment, both in my opinion absolutely deserve additional support. You state that your entire rationale for applying for a council tax reduction is that you would have down sized but have been held back because you need the space for your child who has autism. Now i wont pretend to know your case or what degree of austic behaviour your child has. Each have their own needs and there are varying degrees of autism. However recognising the challenges our SEN systems are having, with under funding, it shows the state of our welfare system, when you get a reduction in council tax bacause you "need space" yet some council wont recognise certain specieal educational needs, including autism, because if they do then they have to issue a EHCP and fund the support.
