@thebfmama: Personally, I love a good nursing room. Especially in the middle of the airport. Denver actually has quite a few, and it’s nice to have a quiet, clean place to go (though the nursing lounge in the @Capital One lounge, which I went to after this one, was next level!) I’m all about options and making feeding as easy as possible. I don’t see these as demeaning or pushing breastfeeding moms in corners. If you’re in the airport and want to nurse or pump at the gate, a restaurant, or in the TSA line (all of which I’ve done) - you should! Personally, I love that so many public places are adding nursing rooms (if they didn’t have one already). I was an exclusively pumping mom, so those rooms gave me the ability to pump in privacy while still being nearby

It’s nice to have if a mom wants to use it. I will nurse wherever I want, and I do. But having a quiet space to sit and not worry about a nip slip is very nice.

This is just another way that people forget that every mom and every baby are SO different. I am a mom that’s totally comfortable nursing wherever, and with babies that don’t normally get too distracted. But that is not the case for MANY!!! So the nursing rooms are still necessary!

I was at citi field and I had to pump and it was a small little pod thing, but it had a table! And I really appreciated it. The bathroom lines were insane. I do wish it had a garbage in it but hey it’s a step.

I wouldn't say oppressive... but I personally won't ever be using a nursing room ANYWHERE. I tried to in KOP mall and it was 1- way too damn quiet; 2- way too warm; and 3- counterproductive to being able to walk around and check out the shops. 🤷🏻‍♀️Mostly the first two is why though.

Some babies need lower stimulation atmospheres to nurse at certain times in the daily routine. Some are easily distracted too. Its a wonderful resource and option to have available.
