Body temperature at 82…. A nurse searching carotid artery? A type A l&d nurse of all nurses? And misspelled it? All I’m gonna say is she didn’t do it. Yes trauma will make a person forget timelines and events, but medically she couldn’t have spoken with a crushed thyroid and a body temperature that had to be lower than 82 at the time since that was the body temperature in the hospital after ems would have pushed warmed fluids in her… that’s the evidence!

Not to mention all the scrutiny Patrick got for leaving the kids with Lindsay after she admitted having thoughts of harming them. Yet on the stand, her own mother testified to hearing the exact same admission at the exact same time as Patrick, and she did nothing. Where’s the scrutiny for her? Where are the outcries saying she was a terrible mother because she didn’t listen to her daughter’s cries for help? Why didn’t she take the children to keep them safe? And the fact that her own sister also testified Lindsay admitting to SI to her, and she chose to do nothing as a mandated reporter.

This!! He literally quit his job and started working from home so that he could be present, he hired nanny's for her, etc. like he did all he could!! So now I'm curious are they gonna blame the mom since the mom knew too?! I feel like he was SO exhausted

He should have loved her. I haven’t seen any evidence that he loved her. Like truly genuinely loved her. The video of them at the exhibition. Him getting with another woman so soon after. Him leaving often to do his own things. It’s weird to me.

Imagine dropping your sick spouse off at the hospital and going skiing. Should he have sat beside her while she took meds, should he have attended her appts, should he have gone on a leave from work, sold the car to afford bills, cashed in savings to stay home, brought in care givers .. yes, yes, yes that is exactly what he should have done.

My point is that Patrick was her husband and the person sharing a life and home with her. That gives him a very different level of responsibility to be aware of what was happening in his household and to respond to warning signs. Her mother wasn’t living that day-to-day life with her in the same way. That’s why I think it’s reasonable to scrutinise Patrick’s role more closely than her mother’s.

I have given this a lot of thought. The only thing I wish the family, including PC, had done differently was to be more assertive in their questioning of LC and how she was doing. I think everyone kinda tiptoed around and did their best to be comforting and positive. I wish they had pushed her to be more open and in depth. She was not a complainer and I don't think she was totally honest about how bad her thoughts were. I think she's a sweet and loving person who probably didn't want to worry the people she loved. She was also probably terrified to give voice to her thoughts. Bottom line, they were all doing the best they knew how and no professional said she was a danger to herself or others.

I was surprised about how her family knew she was in a dark place and having dark thoughts, she even mentioned harming her kids, non of them went that extra mile apart from her husband to seek help for her. I think he should of just had her sectioned so she could be under the right care and monitored but maybe he felt bad doing that to her because she acted so normal around the kids. Nobody knows how hard this might of been for him.
