**Google’s EPS just jumped 300%. Almost none of that is real.** The $9.11 they reported includes nearly $100B in equity gains — one-off, non-recurring. Strip it out and adjusted EPS is $2.85, a slight miss vs. expectations. ✅The business underneath is genuinely strong: - Revenue growth broad-based - Cloud accelerating to +82% YoY with expanding operating margins, on its way to a $100B business - YouTube, Search and Subscriptions all accelerating on a multi-year basis - Traffic acquisition costs growing slower than ad revenue, opex improved — more revenue at less cost to get it 🛑 What went wrong: free cash flow was negative, capex climbed again, and the $85B at-the-market raise adds dilution pressure to future EPS. Here’s what’s being overlooked. Cloud margins improved both YoY and QoQ — but the CFO said on the call to expect Q3 margin pressure from expanded third-party cloud capacity and the Wiz integration. Wall Street is preparing for a weaker print and will want proof it’s temporary. Running Q2 EPS as a conservative run rate puts it near 30x FY2026 adjusted earnings at $330. A great business at a premium it deserves — fair, not cheap. I’m not adding. I own a large position bought at a real discount. If you own none, I don’t hate it here — start small, average in, buy dips, control your sizing. NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH. THESE ARE MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS BASED ON WHAT I KNOW. At a ~30x adjusted FY2026 multiple - Google is fairly priced - not cheap $270~ with today’s numbers would be closer to 24x, much more attractive with their growth and dominant market position $220~ and below would be getting towards the valuation of the s&p average. Google > average s&p 500 company. This would be an amazing price assuming outlook remains constant. If you’re investing into Google - you have to believe their CAPEX spend with generate a great ROI, otherwise this may not be the investment for you. Follow for more breakdowns, what I’m buying, and all things markets. #investing #stockmarket #google
