Normally if you are approaching a low bridge, between 1/2 mile and 1 mile Marker Posts will inform the driver of the hazard so the driver has no excuse for not taking evasive action. I don't give a shit whether he is British or Foreign he must be able to now the Highways Code and use common sense and not only the SatNav.
