Even in the past 9 years of age for girl was never ideal for marriage never in human history a girl body was still under development even at that time now you say even in united state legal age was 7 before 1800 I agree but Islam claims to be the truth and the only ultimate way of life so then Muhammad should not have done this is he was a true prophet and got revolution from Allah because surely Allah would have guided him then don’t marry her her body is not developed this point itself prove that he was an common Arab man claimed to be an prophet this is the best way of life ?
