I recently took a Situational Awareness class for women. The instructor had us practice squaring our shoulders back, inflating our lungs, and BELLOWING, "BACK AWAY! GET BACK!" We've been conditioned to be polite, but we need to give ourselves permission to be FIERCE.

my dilemma is that i worry about men reacting violently if i'm rude. like my method for escaping sketchy situations so far is to just smile at their face and lie and lie until i can get out of there. im never nice because i trust them, i just worry that if im rude theyll just immediately go to violence. does being rude actually give you better chances at survival? if so, i'll start doing that instead, lol
