I think one of the advantages of colonialism was learning English by force. the language links us to interact with the world whereas our own language could've only limitedus to our communities. what do you think? like just now,if I texted here every word in my own language how many of you would understand me? as far as am concerned, learning the colonisers language is an advantage to us.
