Moi ce qui me tue, c’est que les gens qui sont dans des petits restaurants dans des endroits reculés ne font aucunes remarques sur sa couleur de peau, et dès qu’on va dans les grandes villes, c’est là où on prend tous les commentaires désobligeants

You see how he's an elderly man but very happy very lively still working and he's very open and welcoming to someone who isn't Japanese but treats him like one of his own, you'd never see this kind of treatment in America ever

he is smart cuz if you watch his videos, he's mostly only saying the same 15 or so things each time. not a criticism, it shows how it's not that hard to really make a strong impression and ingratiate yourself to people when traveling, especially older people who are often treated like they're invisible. just making that sincere effort to connect and be nice
