@wr3nn.com: gucci’s it-girls for fw02. - one of well known 00s collections, it combines gothic influences with luxury sex appeal. tom ford knows how to pour just the right amount of sensuality into a collection, just enough where it’s not sleazy. in previous collections, we see more exposed skin and tight silhouettes. in this show, he switches up a few things, rather than exposing the body, he gives subtle cutouts and looser shapes that hint and subtly accentuate the body. the collection is filled with chunky knits, tight satin pants, and lace up stiletto heels. towards the closing we see dresses and gowns, some giving fluidity or something deconstructed of the sorts. the gowns often had cutouts, plunging loose necklines, or lace up accents at the front. the show is still talked about today, with my favorite parts actually being the smudged smoky eye, messy hair, and beaded cross necklaces that resemble a rosary. the mixing of luscious fabrics, a dark color palette of mostly black and browns, and powerful struts from some of tom ford’s muses (such as eugenia volodina, natalia vodianova, rie rasmussen, and liya kebede), the show is impeccable and essential to knowing the gucci fashion house. - ##fy##fyp##models##runwaywalk##gucci
