‘b-but abuse from your boss that apparently only matters when it happens to women’ 🥺🥺 I’ve been seeing a lot of this on my fyp often made by women and im TIRED, this is before feminism. how are you gonna hate feminism for giving you ‘right’ to work when you would’ve worked either way??😭 Women have always worked. lol you wouldve just been paid significantly less than your husband for the exact same labor, had your wages legally owned by him or your father, and would be barred from higher-paying professional fields. Working-class women, immigrant women, and women of color have never had the luxury of not working. feminism introducing women to the workforce is a historical MYTH, before feminism millions of women still worked grueling hours in textile mills, coal mines, laundries, agriculture etc. Feminism simply fought for your right to equal pay, legal ownership of your own money, and access to professional careers. The idea that women stayed home doing no economic labor is a misconception based heavily on a specific mid-20th-century idealizer of middle- and upper-class Western households. Then we have the 1950s ideal: the image of the suburban housewife who doesn't work outside the home was heavily popularized by American television and media in the 1950s. This was actually a very short, historically unusual anomaly funded by a massive post-WWII economic boom. #feminism #leftwing #rightwing #women #fyp
