@drgreghealth: Three things you can start doing today to significantly lower your cancer risk naturally. Number one: Take a hard look at alcohol. It's a Group 1 carcinogen. Same category as tobacco and asbestos, linked to at least seven cancers, including breast and colon. There's no protective amount. Less is better, none better than less. Number two: Lose the fat around your midsection. Excess body fat is second only to smoking as a modifiable cause of cancer. Visceral fat drives inflammation and raises your insulin, a growth signal. Leave that switched on for 30 years and you've changed the environment your cells are dividing in. Number three: Fix your fiber. Most adults get about half of what they need, while colorectal cancer climbs in people under 50. Fiber feeds the bacteria that make fuel for your colon cells. Add beans and lentils, cut the processed meat, and get screened. A colonoscopy doesn't just find cancer, it can remove a polyp before it becomes one. I'm a functional medicine doctor, and I still tell patients to get one. Find the root. Heal the whole.

Recovering from my 2nd tongue cancer related surgery now. However, I don’t drink alcohol, smoke, vape, or chew tobacco and never have. I am a cyclist and endurance athlete. I eat healthy and don’t do added sugars or junk food. I d eat cold meatsavey little if any processed foods. And look at my photos, there is no fat in my midsection. With all due respect, there is no such thing as cancer proof.

Nobody is invincible. My Dad was never overweight a day in his life, he ran marathons, he didn’t drink or smoke. Pancreatic cancer took him at 52 😭

my mother in law is 86..was an alcoholic for 60 years...and a chain smoker. She's had dementia for 6 years now, alcohol was cut-off by force, but she still smokes about 15 cigarettes a day. Some things are unexplainable. My best buddy, worked out, never smoked or drank in his life, died at 67 of cancer.

My sister died from breast cancer at 33 and was a non-drinker. My grandmother died from leukemia at 49 and rarely took a sip of alcohol. My uncle died from leukemia at 16 and obviously never drank. "Statistics" can say whatever you want them to say.

I say do your best because above all else, stress causes cancer. 80/20 lifestyle the best you can. This world isn’t looking too hot so live a good time and don’t make it all about worrying. 🫶🏽 * read your ingredient labels *
