I’m not too sure of the context of these people in the video however People need to remember we live in the uk mosques have a duty to create unity between Muslims and the people in charge of the country. The reality is all big political parties in charge are complicit and I’m sure all mosques and Muslim leaders agree on this. However we need to understand their perspective they aren’t inviting these people to say they agree with what’s happening in Palestine they do this so when it comes to things like Eid when mosques want to do Eid prayers in the parks or make parking free for that day or any other thing that is beneficial for the mosque and Muslims and it requires permission from the council. they acc have to have some sort of relationship with the people in charge so they can approach them and ask for these things. If they totally turned away the political people in charge then it would make our lives as Muslims harder we’d have 0 support because social media already makes us look bad and if we make it worse then soon enough we will have no place in this country. As frustrating as it is to build relationships with people who we know are complicit it is still necassary. There is no point of uploading these sort of videos and creating more hatred in between Muslims atleast have a sit down and try to understand the other persons perspective. What should mosques do start shouting to abolish all the political parties? Then when people realise it’s becoming difficult to practice Islam in this country they will begin complaining again. When you view things from only your perspective ofc it looks bad but we have to see the bigger picture how do we navigate our lives as Muslims in this country whilst still making it clear that we are against any sort of oppression.
