@anyashakhstyling: Fascinating and important study on what actually matters most to women. This study was conducted by David Puts and team, it’s known in evolutionary psychology as the male formidability study. #masculinity #strength #attractionpsychology #dating
Winning a fight and strength are not necessarily correlated. A faster and smarter guy might have better chances of winning a fight than a stronger but slower opponent

This was surprisingly incoherent for what should be a straightforward account.

This explains the heartthrob status of harry styles, Timothy chamalet, BTS, and leonardo decaprio. They all look like they could win the UFC so easily.

A study of 16 men isn’t really a study.

Not even strength, though. The perception of strength.

It’s the perception of strength that’s why women like men 6 feet+

I read somewhere that women change their preferences based on their ovulation cycle, so in their fertile period prefer fit / strong partners.. the bit about the study of the mens 'success' with women seem to have a lot of variables , one guy could have pursued 2 women and got 2 dates and 2 sexual partners , whereas another guy could have pursued 80 women and got 10 dates and 3 sexual partners .. so whose more successful?

Strength and winning a fight are not the same. But if I’m beating the study correctly, the women were a poor gauge of a man’s success in being with women.

You mean we are also better judges of men? Crazy to think men used to screen men for their daughters.

You’re incorrectly conflating “strength” and the question “who would win in a fight”. Those are completely different categories…

That's not a good study....the test of whether someone may win in a fight is not just strength but the way they carry themselves, which is exactly how a woman is attracted to men

Winning a fight, being strong, and making a women feel safe are all different things. Likewise, Attractive to women, and self reported success with women are also not the same thing. So if this is truly how the study went, I would more likely conclude the guys that men fear self-report success with women. Or possibly, women are afraid to turn down the men that men fear.

Big muscles doesn’t equal a good fighter. I think we know that by now. Championship MMA guys championship boxers, aren’t necessarily the guy with the biggest muscles. Big muscle muscles and sometimes be a hindrance and make it difficult to move.
