smart move for a zero-cost utility app, one-time pricing almost always lifts total revenue when there's no server cost to cover. next test: add an even pricier tier above the lifetime purely as an anchor. the expensive option doesn't need to sell, it just makes your lifetime look like a steal and bumps conversions again 📈

If a project has no cost for the backend it shouldn’t be a subscription in the first place, one time payment on the AppStore or on signup

the "lifetime" option is literally just the default... subscriptions for sich things should be an alternative, temporary option

I’ve month plans too. Your theory is right, I just got two trials yesterday although I added it around a week or so. Before that it had monthly even with 3 day trial there was no conversion

Are you doing penetration tests for you app to help with security? I get it, I hope you look into this, especially when people are putting their credentials in, and we are in the midst of cyber wars, breaches, and hacks.

Kind of common sense that you should’ve done that from the beginning with no ongoing costs lol

Lifetime makes sense when there's no server cost to cover, but it front-loads everything - you trade compounding MRR for cash today. Did revenue per install actually go up after the switch?
