I take Labetalol and tested positive for ecstasy when I was admitted to L&D 😭 The nurse literally said to the other, “it’s because she’s on Labetalol” and I never heard about it again. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

I don't know... this feels like harassment to me. A similar thing happened to me years ago and I feel like it happens enough that they should have known in your case. A whole team of people and not one of them had a clue?! Especially the doctor! I'm calling BS. I would ask for the entire medical record including notes and test they ran and the results. File a complaint against the social worker and if she threatened to take your child, contact a lawyer.

Just want to include that all of my doctors and nurses were very aware of the possibility of a false positive due to the labetalol! They were very upset this happened because the social worker questioned them and they supported me and she still proceeded!! The call to DCS was made because I had put on the questionnaire that yes I had done marijuana in my past.. I’ve been told by multiple nurses now it’s best to not say yes to that to prevent this! CRAZY! I also learned the social worker was not the normal one but she was on call due to the other 2 workers being out that weekend. She’s known for not being very nice. She has been reported!
