Think about it like soaking a sponge: a light mist may dampen the outside, but soaking allows water to move deeper into the material. That’s where osmosis comes into the conversation, the movement of water toward areas where it’s needed across a semipermeable barrier. So if your goal is truly hydrated locs, don’t confuse damp with hydrated. Give your hair enough water and time to absorb it. Healthy locs aren’t just about how they look, they are about how well they are cared for. Peace out.
Clean scalp makes growth better…but with locs is different. You have to seal the outer layer yes(after washing) but you do need to dry the hair properly after to avoid that mildew. Don’t cover your hair if it is damp to the touch.
