@simonostrovsky: This clip, which went viral when someone put it on a long-dead app called coub back in 2014 or 2015, was actually the cold open to dispatch 14 from my Russian Roulette series about the occupation of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. For that video episode I went around Crimea asking people what country they thought they were in because there was some confusion after Russia had staged an illegal and unrepresentative referendum. I got a variety of answers but this one struck a chord with the internet when it was taken out of context. The revelers getting wasted by a garage just seemed so representative of the country they saw themselves a part of.
