Be honest… you thought it too 🥹👀 Chinese neurotechnology company BrainCo unveiled its latest intelligent bionic hand at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai on July 17—and one feature immediately caught everyone’s attention. Even after being detached from the user’s arm, the prosthetic hand can still be wirelessly controlled, allowing it to continue moving independently. The hand works by detecting electrical signals generated by the wearer’s muscles and nerves. AI interprets those signals in real time and wirelessly sends movement commands to the prosthetic, enabling individual finger movements with high precision. BrainCo says the hand also features 21 degrees of freedom, full-palm tactile sensing and a lifelike silicone exterior. The technology is designed to help people with upper-limb amputations regain everyday hand function.
