For people wondering, the story of Jurayj (George) comes from Sahih Muslim (I think it’s in Sahih Bukhari too). Jurayj was a normal man who was renowned for his worship. He used to pray a lot. So much so that he made a small mud house for his prayers. One day his mother came when he was praying voluntarily prayers and called him but he didn’t come out. Day 2 went the same way & so did Day 3 but by the 3rd day the mother was so angry, she out of anger said “Ya Allah, don’t let him die until he sees the face of prostitute” & marched away in anger. Jurayj was an honourable man the whole community looked upto so this prostitute was like ‘I can change that man & wrap him around my finger’ as she was the best looking prostitute who had ‘conquered’ all types of men so she came all prepared & tried to seduce with looks, body language, facial expressions & voice, etc. but Jurayj ignored and gave 0 attention & this touched her nerves so she left and found a shepherd nearby who was righteous but vulnerable to her advances and committed Zina with him. She bore a child after 9 months. She then went to the community and was flaunting the baby around like a badge of victory & when people asked, she said the baby was hers and Jurayj’s, the man you look upto. The people believed her without a second thought and destroyed his place and dragged him out, beating him in groups before even telling him why, then they told him & he asked to pray before anything else so they did. He prayed and asked for the child, then poke the belly and asked for the father’s name and it was the shepherd as the baby spoke it. Then the people started to cry and kiss face and bruises & cuts. Then the rest of the story is the same. There are alot of lessons in this story but the main thing we learn from this is that obeying your parents is above voluntary prayers
