I don’t know why he’s talking about sharing in the future when he is not sharing in the present!

Should and will are two different things. The cost of a running police state is being reduced far faster than the growth of median individual wealth and knowledge.

Nonsensical. He is trying to rehabilitate his public image. Nothing he has done suggests he believes this. Scarcity will persist. Even now the tech boom makes rare minerals more expensive and data centers more expensive and less popular.

Sounds like he wants to socialize the costs of ai operations, without guaranteeing or even pinpointing the potential shared benefits.

unless something changes, AI will become an additional tool to control the working class. The wealthy capitalist class will manufacture the necessary scarcity for the non-wealthy labor class.

In post singularity economics capital wins over labour. People will have access to PhD level intelligence but the economic divide among the rich and the underclass will grow so huge and difficult to close

In my experience the truth hides behind its opposite.
You can actually deduce a lot about what’s really going on if you apply this rule to politicians and public figures. 😏

In regards to energy the data show the opposite .. KW /h prices have tripled and green energy is suppressed as new laws worldwide make it hard for individuals and home owners but easier for corporations and gov affiliates. The grid by the governments and the rich is so great that we should hope that Ai at some point realises who are to blame and acts accordingly !

The idea that all abundance is temporary is hubristic. Yes, the diamond can go from being scarce to mass produced as an individual resource, but any shift in our society will make one thing more scarce. Water and energy are two non-abundant resources right now that are causing this informational abundance to be harder to achieve. More types of scarcity are inevitable.
