When we’re drowning, and all we have is our intention. And when He plants contentment deep inside us A contentment that’s enough, That calms our hearts and whispers: 'I am with you .. even if no one else understands.' So what is modesty of the self? It’s when you guard your heart from hatred, See others through eyes of mercy and love, not judgment, And rise above hurting them .. even if they’ve hurt you. And modesty of the soul? It’s when you live your relationship with God Sincerely, silently, truthfully When you keep the best of yourself for Him alone. It means: not everything needs to be seen.
