to counter the other comments, yes this is alcoholism in the UK too. getting shitfaced before a 10 mile hike despite nobody else wanting to? hiding the amount you're drinking from your friends? not normal or healthy behaviour. I get that we have more of a binge drinking culture here but come on, there are limits (if you're not a uni student)
