Lexus TX1 The Custom Tacoma Pickup That Stole SEMA A Lexus pickup truck has appeared at SEMA 2026, and it looks like something Toyota's luxury brand could actually build. Meet the Lexus TX1, a custom Toyota Tacoma transformed by Meso Customs with styling inspired by the Lexus GX 550. Unveiled at the 2026 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, this unique luxury pickup combines the rugged capabilities of the 4th-generation Toyota Tacoma with the bold design of the Lexus GX 550. Created by California-based Meso Customs, the TX1 started as a digital rendering before becoming a fully functional custom truck. The exterior features a Lexus-inspired grille, headlights, hood, widened fenders, and a custom rear bed with a full-width light bar. One of its most unusual features is a functional tailgate that doubles as a heated seating area with Bluetooth speakers. For off-road performance, the Lexus TX1 receives 38-inch Toyo Open Country tires, 74Weld portal axles, King suspension components, and additional Baja Designs lighting. Power comes from the Tacoma's turbocharged 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine with upgraded intake and intercooler components. A matching Honda Grom motorcycle displayed in the pickup bed completes this unusual SEMA creation. Although the Lexus TX1 is not an official Toyota or Lexus production vehicle, it offers an interesting look at what a premium midsize pickup could become. Would you buy a Lexus pickup truck if Toyota decided to build one?
