@rakhimoff_amir: ⬇️ EXPLANATION: Follow my TikTok for more useful college advice. Student On The Right Achieved More Impressive Things Than The Student On The Left. But why? What makes him special? 2 words: Personal Context. The Student On The Right had to balance school while having to work 2 jobs as a teenager. His family definitely had financial difficulties, and his parents worked on a farm, so he didn’t have anyone to guide him properly. First-Gen. Yet, he scored 1450 on the SAT and took maximum available number of 5 APs at his school. On the other hand, The Student On The Left comes from a high income family, who helped him get a Microsoft Internship. No merit, just connections. Having high GPA, SAT and APs are definitely not enough to stand out coming from the city as competitive as New York City. So the Student On The Right achieved more relative to his background and opportunities available to him than the Student On The Left. Hence, Accepted.
