I knew a girls who came rushing over to my apartment innNYC back in the 70s and she told us this story: “I’m running up the steps from the subway (86th & Lex) and I plow right into this guy and we both fall on the ground. As I’m getting up, I’m apologizing and I look at him at it’s Robert Redford! He looked at me with his index finger over his lips” and she demonstrated the universal signal to be quiet. She continued: “I nodded silently yes, and ran straight here. Isn’t the coolest?” Yes, very cool indeed! ❤️
