I believe so, it’s forcing your cycle into a routine and you may experience a full bleed or spotting as you describe

Estrogen is high, which isn’t a bad thing, you may need to have your progesterone raised. It takes time to get the right levels

Take your progesterone at the exact same time every night. Also, have your estrogen levels checked.

I would imagine that this answer is going to very widely based on where people are at in their perimenopause/menopause journey. If you’re still having regular cycles, you might not be as likely to experience this. However, I would let my doctor know any abnormal bleeding. I accidentally gave myself two periods in July because I forgot to change my estrogen patch, then put a new one on three days late. Then I lost the new one a day and a half later, and put on another brand new one. And then I got to have a second period. But I did let my doctor know and I let her know what it happened that could’ve contributed to it and she was not concerned. But this is why I say keep track of when it started and what you were doing when it happened and then let your doctor know.

Yes!! The doc wanted to do a vaginal ultrasound as it was happening to me 2-3 days every month or so. I did the ultrasound and all was fine.

My OBGYN told me that I would be spotting for 6 months to a year... I'm on the 11 month mark and my spotting feels like a period. At the beginning, it was like what you described, now I feel cramping. I'm on 200mg of progesterone and 0.05 of Estradial.

I have been on progesterone 200mg mg for 5 months. I started bleeding like a regular period so my dr did a vaginal ultrasound, everything was normal, so her solution to it was to put me on 400mg of progesterone, she said I have absorption problems. so I have been on 400mg for 2 weeks, I just started spotting yesterday again.😳

Common? Yes. Normal? Maybe, maybe not. Only your doctor can tell. Make sure to update them and let them decide what needs to be checked out and what's fine.

Yeah, I’ve had that happen. And guess what that’s actually considered a period if you’re on your way to your menopause journey. I went 11 months without menses and then all of a sudden I got the brown and they consider that a period. Mother nature is funny. Not really.

I’m not too sure there is a normal. I’ve heard so many different stories. Either they have a bad reaction and stop progesterone or they really like it or it does nothing or like me I’ve had almost constant bleeding for months. Stops for a day or two then resumes. Crazy how different the outcomes can be.

I started spotting last Wednesday in the evening in the morning nothing really got home from work it was brown spotting I had it for 2 days and it's gone but I feel like my hormones are out of whack mind you I had no cycle for 170 days 😩😩😩

SAME! Mine turned into a period at effing 58 🙄. Getting a colposcopy next month and have a hysterectomy scheduled as well. I’m done with this uterus. She needs to be retired!!!
