@kathyatthebeach: Nobody really prepares you for this part of retirement. 😂 You can be happily married for years, work well together and think you know pretty much everything there is to know about each other. And then suddenly… you’re both home. Now you discover where the other person thinks things belong, how things should be done, what absolutely cannot be thrown away—and whose agenda takes priority that day. For the record, sometimes I NEED to know who got evicted before we unpack another box. 😂 And yes, throwing away perfectly good plastic paper-plate holders only to buy more someday probably makes absolutely no sense. He’s probably right. I reserve the right to do it anyway. 😉😂 We still work pretty darn well together. But retirement has also taught me the value of separate rooms.
