I promise, it gets better. Right now they are just so at odds with each other bc their personalities are clashing violently. Celaena herself is struggling deeply with the two versions of her that exist because she has not figured out how to let them coexist and instead they are separate. They are also both people who have isolated themselves so thoroughly that they don't understand yet how to let someone else in. ALSO, the Fae in TOG are very territorial, primal sorts of creatures who often lean more towards animalistic tendencies than human ones. But anyway, Rowan gets better and so does Celaena. They're both just growing right now.
