@mashable: AirPods with built-in cameras have been the subject of rumors for years, but now we have evidence that Apple is really working on these, and that they're probably coming very soon. The latest macOS Tahoe 26.7 beta contains a video that shows the device in action (via MacRumors). The short video demos how a user could save real-life visuals using Apple's Visual Intelligence with the help of AirPods. This sort of functionality could be enabled by the built-in cameras on the AirPods, which would collect the visual data and send it over to Apple's Visual Intelligence. Recent reports indicated that AirPods with built-in cameras will launch soon, and given that Apple is likely to launch new iPhones within weeks, we're probably going to see these new AirPods launch along with them.
