while the dispensors are a nifty tool a word of wisdom from a chef plastic can get micro-incisions from the hard pellets and seeds of foods you use in them. over time those micro-incisions will begin to collect food particles that will get trapped, begin to rot and start to contaminate your stored product. so a safety tip is to let the dispensers run out dry after every use, thoroughly wash them with scalding hot water and soap and fully let them air dry before refilling them! I would hate to see such a well designed prep system get destroyed over something you cannot see with the naked eye. F.Y.I. this is also the exact same reason you do not dump while bags of dog food into plastic containers to store the food. open the bag and insert the entire bag into the plastic container instead so your dogs stay healthy! ^_^ hope this helps keep y'all safe!

Anyone saying this is crazy must have been sleeping during COVID. If you can't see how fast our supply chain can break down then hopefully you're paying attention to how many recalls and contamination is happening in our food supply because there is no one holding corporations accountable anymore.
