No! Keep metal away from your food. Get a lettuce keeper get a produce keeper. Don't wash it before you use it wash only what you use and you can also get some paper towels moisten them up and put it in a plastic bag or just put it down in the produce drawer. Do not use metal and that includes aluminum with your FOOD!
