Once you realize one you may never get an apology , two by the time you do you’ll be over it and three people take their apology as a means to continue the relationship whether that’s friend, family, lover etc .. once you realize that you free yourself.

I left a 3 year relationship because he wanted to start figuring himself out after I had our daughter. I wanted to call him out when it happened which is what we do when we’re hurt but it took everything in me not to for the sake of my daughter and I simply wished him a good life. It’s been hard especially since I had a baby with him, to let him go when all I wanted to do was fight for our relationship to stay together, but I see it as choosing myself instead of losing him. I’m going on two weeks post breakup but it’s getting a little easier leaving the relationship knowing I’m setting a good example for my daughter to respect herself.

Oh and now, I am soooo at peace and so happy. I still deal with my trauma and I still have hard days but I’ve got peace with myself and genuine people around me, that’s more than enough for me.😌
