The cold/iced setting on a coffee brewer can’t make cold coffee, to truly make a cold brew of sorts it needs to steep in the cold water for hours for it to be coffee flavored, the cold setting on a brewer makes the coffee stronger and brews at a lower temperature to help the coffee not be as watered down with the added ice

I think (i definitely could be wrong) but I think you still put ice in the cup and when you push cold it just doesn’t come out at hot or maybe it’s made stronger so the ice that melts doesnt dilute the coffee???

You have to put ice in the cup and it just comes out less hot than regular brew .
