No they don’t, I got told by my vet that it can make them overweight and they just don’t necessarily need it, hay does the job and if you have you can give them some pellets (not too much) 🫶🏼

mine get a variety but some days they are getting the lettuce and chunk of bell pepper because thats perfectly fine and you shouldnt make people feel bad for feeding their guinea pigs properly lol

Jesus Christ these comments really are proof that people will argue over anything!! Every pig is different, not every pig will like the same things but we should all be striving to feed a variety of foods as different veggies and fruits contain different nutrients, there are literally hundreds of things they can eat. If your pigs don’t like Peppers… it isn’t the only veg high in vitamin c. Some of you need to do some proper research before you come on here commenting 🤦♀️

They do not need a whole salad every single day. Yes they do need to get the proper nutrition though and have a proper diet. There’s also a thing called overfeeding, which can be dangerous for them. Saskia from the Los Angeles guinea pig rescue page has a really good video on YouTube about how much vegetables a piggy should be getting each day and what kind they should be getting.
