As I’ve aged, I’ve continued to be fine with language change, even enthusiastic when it actually improves communication. But the frustrating thing is no one tells me what those changes are. No one is writing quarterly memos to older people with the latest changes to our language. And, I know, of course they aren’t. But it’s still frustrating that the usual way I hear of changes is when someone points out I’m saying something that no one else has said in 10+ years 😂

we don't use 🗿 because it's cringe. mostly associated with the "sigma, foid" usage of gen alphas. We occasionally imitate it ironically but it has no staying power beyond its inception because oh my days its painful to use.
