@amme5695: Have you ever confronted someone about the way they treated you… only to end up apologising? That’s often how DARVO works. DARVO stands for: 🔹 Deny – “That never happened.” 🔹 Attack – “You’re the problem.” 🔹 Reverse Victim & Offender – Suddenly, they’re the victim… and you’re the one being blamed. It’s a manipulation tactic used to avoid accountability, create confusion and protect the abuser’s image. Over time, it can leave you questioning your memories, your reactions and even your own character. If this sounds familiar, please remember this: Someone denying your reality doesn’t change the truth. You are not “too sensitive.” You are not “crazy.” And you are not responsible for someone else’s abusive behaviour. Learning about DARVO was one of those moments where everything finally started to make sense for me. My hope is that by sharing these posts, someone else recognises what they’re experiencing a little sooner and knows they’re not alone. 💜 #DARVO #domesticabuseawareness #gaslighting #emotionalabuse #coercivecontrol
