@c5news: Four people have been pulled from the water off the Sussex coast, prompting a huge emergency response. Multiple ambulances and two air ambulances could be seen in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, near the RNLI station on Tuesday afternoon. Sussex Police said: “Emergency services are currently responding to reports of four people in difficulty in the water close to Shoreham Fort. “A section of the A259 in Shoreham has been closed as the incident remains ongoing, and we’re urging the public to stay clear of the area in the meantime." At the scene an ambulance could be seen leaving under a police escort with blue lights flashing. A HM Coastguard spokesman said: “HM Coastguard responded to an incident reported at Shoreham at about 2.45pm on 18 August. “An HM Coastguard helicopter was sent as well as Littlehampton, Shoreham and Newhaven Coastguard Rescue Teams, and an RNLI lifeboat from Shoreham.”
It’s devastating this year how many people have lost lives. My heart goes out to out to the families who lost loved ones. Please take care or avoid going to the sea .

I, once had a fall after coming out of the Hospital with 26 staples in my leg two days previously when I, called for a Ambulance I, was told their are no Ambulances as they all were at Notting Hill Carnival bearing in mind I was in my late 70s and living on my own. The ironic thing they were probably parked up on a back street on their Mobile phones waiting for something to happen!!
