I feel like there should have at least been a warning issued before being asked to leave. Like as far as we can tell, it happened once, if it was a continued violation of the rule then yeah absolutely throw him out. But what happened to grace, huh? Is there no room for that ever?

The issue isn't whether clapping violated a rule it's whether arresting someone for brief protected expression was constitutional. A public meeting isn't a First Amendment free zone but yes their are rules

I think you've got this one wrong. The ninth circuit court has repeatedly ruled that a disruption must be an actual disruption, it can't just be a violation of decorum. This man's clapping did not prevent the meeting from proceeding, therefore it was not a disruption befine by the ninth circuit court.

This is why you need to watch the full interaction before voting because the second I saw that he was refusing to leave after being told to leave, that is trespassing and that's what makes this arrest justifiable.
