Part 2 | Do cone snails sting? 👀⬇️ . the answer is Yes, they can and do! 😅 . but will you get stung at the beach in Florida by a cone snail? Probably not. . The reason is one, you're not likely to come across a live one, and two, they tend to be shy creatures that retract into their shells when afraid. . The only time I've come across live cones is after big storms, and you can see I quickly check to see if the mollusk is alive, and quickly place it back 👍🏻 . Always pick these up from the top part of the shell if you're unsure. They can sting, but the cone snails we have here in Florida are not deadly like some of the species you've likely heard about. .
