Setting your infant up for success at daycare is so important! No one (parents, teachers, and baby) like to see an infant go all day without a bottle or a nap because they were never offered a bottle before starting and have never slept in a crib. It’s exhausting and heartbreaking for all involved. 😣

it makes we so sad our country doesn't allow for moms to "soak it up" with their babies. no one should have to put an infant in daycare.

I don’t want them tired, I don’t want them to struggle, I love baby snuggles but we simply do not have the ability to consistently hold your baby. 😭

Or wearing them 24/7 at home. It’s sooo rough on the baby when they start daycare!

As a twin mom I set my home and routine up like a daycare. Crib naps and independent play from the start. So many people judged me but they didn’t see what happens when you’re caregiving for multiple babies.

So many infants can’t put themselves to sleep now. Its so much harder than years ago.

As a first time parent, I wish I saw this before we started daycare. I didn’t know any better and my LO struggled so badly but thankfully our infant room teachers have been so accommodating and helping us transition.

Not sure what you charge, but as a mom, we don’t care about your bottom line!! Hire more people?? As a former infant teacher, there was one baby’s mother who I was so angry for - she was spending $300/week for her tiny baby to lay on the FLOOR and scream his tiny head off for 10 hours a day! If I’m paying $1200/month for my baby to go to daycare, then I feel you can take one hour to hold them each day for 1 nap (or send your floater in at that time). Regardless if I’ve “put in the work” at home or not, some babies’ temperament doesn’t allow for such smooth assimilation; mine being 2 of them. The daycare discouraged me from picking that baby up when he cried and I swiftly pulled my kids out and became a SAHM. I wish more mothers had the financial option of staying home. It’s also possible mothers were never planning to return to work until some circumstance occurred that forced it. And some babies, no matter how early or often a bottle is offered, will still refuse - my second son is like this, he also will not take a paci and yes I’ve been *desperately* trying to get him to take one since birth as I do not like being the human pacifier. You were so tactful in your video but I fear it may still be a little tone deaf or maybe I am just really triggered lol

Both of my kids contact napped the entire tea of their life before going into daycare and they’ve been super successful with the transition. It might have taken a week or two but now they go to sleep no problem without anybody.

This breaks my heart. I’m so lucky to have sisters who are watching my son when I go back to work. I can’t imagine my baby not being held when he needs comfort
