First, the word clingy doesn’t work for me. Sounds insecure. To me, I am simply drinking in every part of him I can and showing him how I feel.

I’ve always been hyper independent and not into that cuddly leaning into a man shit, until I was 38 and met someone who just made me feel so comfortable and safe and I was climbing all over him 🤣

If I feel seen, respected and emotionally safe with a man who truly loves me, and I love him, there is nothing I will not do for him. 🥰 He's my preferred person to spend time with and I love touching him.

I think the opposite is true. I've never been more clingy than with a man I constantly feel I have to hold on to. Either because he's entertaining other women, or because he's just avoidant. When I have felt safe in relationships, that has also made me feel safe to take care of myself more.

I called him my King. I addressed him when he called as, "Hello, my king ." He treated me phenomenal. Then one drunk-binge night he got mad at me and accused me of using him when I said I wasn't dealing with his drunken BS. He lost that title and never got it back. It wasn't long after, that I broke up with him.

"Clingy" is a loaded word that smacks of insecurity. Demonstrative, maybe? In my own experience, I've never been clingy when I felt safe. Quite the opposite.

I'm not clingy, I'm secure. He makes me feel free to be myself. I love everything about him. The best place in the whole world is in his arms. He's comfortable with himself and our marriage. And he lets me bite him, so all is well.

Unfortunately—I’ve never had a man make me feel that safe that I would have wanted to that. However— I believe I would totally be willing to do all of that if I felt that safe & loved by a man. So I would agree with the post.

I feel I’m a very affectionate woman. I’ve been huggy-kissy-lovey-dovey. Initially, partners love it however when they do not reciprocate then my mind and body began a slow descend. You’ve probably heard, when a woman is done, she’s done. When she asked, “What’s wrong?” multiple times and hears, “Nothing” the end is near. And men are always shocked or at least pretend to be.

I agree with this statement. It has been a looooong time since I felt this way. I don't like "clingy". I look at it as fully enjoying my partner and his safe masculine energy. Just beautiful 💜

Yes. All that and she talks openly about emotions. It's the key difference between someone in love or scared of losing love.

Yes. Would not say clingy, but yes, more than willing to love deeply, willing to merge with the man who makes us feel safe.
