Lip stains often tend to change colors once applied, it’s usually not a pH dependent technology! I usually dislike tints because they all tend to turn more red than the packaging color advertises and I am cool toned, however this one suits you so well and didn’t change colors that much! 🩷☺️

it's not ph this is pretty normal with lipstains, as a certified lipstain lover, now I normally use korean lipstains and have for years they do this all the time. the initial color pay off is a couple shades lighter and then pigment will settle into your lips and the color kinda mixed with the color of your lips plus the staining. I highly recommend checking out the colorgram, romand, or peripera lip stains of you enjoyed the mac ones!

The base is a stain (which always end up pink/red of some sort) and the gloss is orange! Not pH changing :) so yes ur right

Ph changing makeup is a scam, what you see here is probably a glossy lip stain where “glossy” part has a colour but the “staining” one a completely different one, just like in the aplicator.
