@writeoapp: I might get attacked by fantasy writers for this. I don’t think you should start with worldbuilding before you know your story. Because you can spend hours creating maps, magic systems, kingdoms, cultures, and histories, only to get stuck when it’s time to actually write. Where do all these details fit? How do they connect to the story? A world shouldn’t just be interesting on its own. It should serve the story you’re trying to tell. Agree or disagree?
