@juleshomestead: I went back and forth with the idea of sharing Huck’s current medical struggle. I selfishly wanted to keep it to myself, but I know there are a lot of people in the world who have fallen in love with him. Huck had a seizure a couple nights ago that he didn’t recover from. His postictal state went on and on until we brought him in to emergency. They gave him medicines to disrupt the seizure activity in his brain and let us take him home. But the seizures started back up again as soon as we got home. I gave him doses of rescue medication which made him really loopey, and made it more difficult for me to tell what’s were symptoms of his seizure disorder and what were symptoms from the medication. He’s gone completely blind, he struggles to stand and walk around on his own. His muscle control is low. He went back to emergency last night and received some treatment and he’s on a higher dose of his medication now. Today, he’s the same. He isn’t better but he also isn’t worse and I think that’s a good sign. He’s been having some really good deep sleeps and I think that’s probably the thing he needs the most right now after 24 hours of non stop seizure activity in his brain. I’ll update some more if he gets better or worse. #huckthelgd
