Hi! I’m an autistic person, and I genuinely see what you’re trying to do, but this is an outdated framework and I wouldn’t recommend presenting it as current information. If you’re showing the history of how autism has been classified and how our understanding has evolved, then that’s useful context. But presenting “classic autism,” Asperger’s, and PDD-NOS as distinct types of autism today is misleading. There’s a reason these categories were moved away from: autism doesn’t fit into neat little boxes. That’s the point of the spectrum: autistic people can have very different combinations of traits. So unless this is specifically about the history of autism diagnosis, I’d really recommend not presenting these old categories as current information.
