no, I got super deep into anti-spirituality. The sentiment stayed, as I still find it insane that people willingly believe so many things that they cannot know to be true

I definitely got very deeply into spirituality. I fell into it through growing up around people who viewed tough love as the only way to raise a child. Very hands off, just make the child do everything themselves. There's a very thin line between tough love and things like manifesting and that line is self help. "You don't need therapy, you (the child) just need to hold yourself accountable and it'll all magically fall into place without me (the adult) having to do any work" turned into "I don't need a diagnosis, I just need to manifest a better life and read more self help books" AND unfortunately also into "no one on Earth is going to help me, so I'll need to find something outside of Earth." That really messed me up for a while.

oh honey, i went and joined the druid priesthood, but it helped me accept that this how it is and that's ok. I was trying to become some peaceful, meditstive individual and the training started with the words "know thyself"
